bring CurieNeurons to China for IoT Innovation
Petaluma, California and Shanghai, China: General Vision, the global leader in neuromophic technology and Maker Collider, the leading maker to startup platform in China have signed a distribution and collaboration agreement to bring to China a suite of libraries and tools unleashing the neurons of the Intel Curie module on the Arduino/Genuino 101 platform for learning and recognition.
The suite is presently composed of two Arduino libraries offering different level of control of the neurons (CurieNeurons and CurieNeurons Geek) and the Curie Knowledge Builder application providing an easy-to-use interface to teach the neurons by examples and validate their knowledge on new examples.
The libraries open up the leading edge neuromorphic technology of the 128 neurons inside the Curie modules which are based on the NeuroMem technology pioneered by General Vision. These tools will bring the capacity of developing smart wearables and IoT with the powerful patterns learning and recognition to the makers and hardware startups.
“Artificial intelligence should be an innovation tool in everyone’s hands, you cannot imagine this before the debut of Curie and CurieNeuron, we will work with Intel and General Vision to make it happen, to let people design their intelligent devices using not coding but training.” says Honggang Li co-founder and CEO of Maker Collider.
“General Vision is delighted to team with Maker Collider and Intel to allow the development of programming less knowledge in unforeseen domain.
Artificial intelligence should be something that any maker can use and make. Because of CurieNeurons, anyone can train a homemade object to perform important or less important tasks such as teaching the children how to brush efficiently their young teeth, monitoring health of dogs or favorite animals and much more to come.
As Intel CEO said at CES2016, now because of Curie ‘anyone can develop an application in a few minutes’.” says Guy Paillet, CEO of General Vision.
